Martin's
Rentmeesterij
Martin's Red fits within the context of an extensive campaign to promote sports in Belgium. The hotel is located on the site of the Tubize Belgian Football Center, whose construction began in 2005.
Its sports facilities have been developed to provide a headquarters worthy of the name to the Red Devils (Belgium’s national football team), as well as to support Belgian football in general, including training. The Center will receive up to 75,000 people each year by 2018. It will also provide a multidisciplinary platform in the Tubize area for organising cultural gatherings, festivals, local sports competitions, etc.
Martin's Red is accessible to everyone, athletes and non-athletes alike.
Martin's Red is a ‘full service’ hotel, equipped to accommodate high-level athletes. But it also extends a warm welcome to you – whether you are traveling for business or wishing to enjoy a few days of holiday close to Brussels.
Martin's Red offers 79 guest rooms with modern charm and a subtly sporty decor. A conference centre – comprising a 160-seat auditorium equipped with 3 translation booths, 6 meeting rooms and a banquet hall to serve 150 people – has been designed to make Martin's Red supremely suitable for professional organisations.
The hotel also offers a fitness centre with mini-spa, The Red's - Sports Bar & Grill.
Tubize is located in the heart of Roman Païs, a region protected from mass tourism and yet rich in all kinds of activities: old Nivelles and its Saturday market, the former Brussels-Charleroi canal, the Moulins d'Arenberg, the Chapelle Notre-Dame au Bois, the Ittre marina, the Petit Train du Bonheur, the Théâtre de la Valette, the Quenast quarry, and so much more. The Hainaut city is also located along the Pajottenland, southwest of Brussels. This very fertile and hilly region is often called the Tuscany of the North − it’s an ideal playground for walkers and cyclists of all ages.
Several sites and cultural attractions in Tubize itself are well worth a visit − like the municipal museum, the famous Géants de Tubize, or the Coeurcq ponds, which are a meeting place for many fishing enthusiasts. With the Clabecq steel works, the Tubize area is one of the most iconic industrial sites of Wallonia. Founded in 1752, and starting from a small mill, over the years the works became one of Belgium’s main steel plants, particularly active in the development of the railway. Today, after the site’s closure, vegetation has reclaimed its territory, symbolising the possibility of recovery after the inevitable decline of the economic models of yesterday.
The revival in Tubize goes hand in hand with a certain creativity and a strong social bond. The city organises music festivals, exhibitions, fairs, screenings, performances, ... Its ‘Antistatic’ youth home represents the area’s firm anchoring in the issues of the moment. Around individual and collective projects − ranging from cooking classes to organising a festival or growing a vegetable garden − Tubize stands for a resolutely modern approach to society, based on collaboration and respect for the environment. In 2016, the city hosted the 7th edition of the Antistatic Music Festival.
